Showoff- to me a showoff would be defined as someone who goes way out of their own way to be seen or noticed. A good example would be someone with a nice car and a loud exhaust. Most of the time the looks would be enough to please but for extra flare or pleasure the driver makes sure he is driving a head turner by forcing people to gaze upon whatever is producing such a loud noise.

One of my biggest pet peeves ever would have to be comparing today's rap and hip hop to the nineties era of rap. With me its not just about making words rhyme and talking about drugs and women and violence, its about the artist actually putting forth some effort and touching controversial subjects in a way some people could understand better. Only in a few of today's artist you will find they are willing to sacrifice their reputation to express how they truly feel instead of making nothing but "hype songs."
